About This Role

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will promote the inclusion of all our students, working for 30 hours per week (8.30am-3pm), 39 working weeks per year (school term time plus 1 week).

You will have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every pupil and be able to relate to young people and adults within the learning environment. You should be versatile, resilient, and able to adapt your practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages.

In liaison with the class teacher, you will work with students to target identified learning needs. You will also provide practical support in the classroom to students with recognized learning needs, helping them achieve their potential. Additionally, you will collaborate with subject teachers to ensure lesson materials are used effectively, enabling students to progress towards their target levels.

Ormiston Endeavour Academy is an 11-16 secondary school situated on the outskirts of Ipswich. With significant student growth over the last two academic years, we pride ourselves on the high levels of support, care, and challenge we offer our students. Our students are warm, welcoming, and motivated to succeed. Our staff are committed to providing a caring yet challenging environment for young people to learn, develop, and thrive.

* Being part of a supportive team and community where you belong – receiving bespoke support from a well-resourced network of professionals

* Join a team of teaching assistants, promoting inclusion and supporting teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups under the direction of teaching staff. You may be responsible for some learning activities within the overall plan.
* Be part of a purposeful and caring learning environment where every individual is valued and supported.
* Be adaptable, enthusiastic, and creative.
* Build effective relationships with students and staff.
* Be a supportive team player with a can-do attitude.

In Return, We Will Offer You
