We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to support our UK team in managing data protection and regulatory compliance. This role offers the opportunity to work across the business, influence key decisions, and help shape a strong compliance culture in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
About the Role:
1. Lead day-to-day data protection compliance, including incident management and policy maintenance.
2. Support new projects and ensure data protection is embedded across the Group.
3. Act as Deputy DPO and liaise with the Information Commissioner’s Office when required.
4. Manage the DPIA process and champion privacy by design in innovation and service delivery.
5. Monitor legislative changes (e.g. Data Use and Access Act, FCA regulation) and support implementation.
6. Maintain and update compliance policies and frameworks in line with best practice.
7. Respond to compliance queries and support a busy shared inbox.
8. Contribute to compliance monitoring, audits, and reporting to senior leadership and Boards.
Your Profile:
Essential
9. Strong knowledge of UK Data Protection legislation and experience managing compliance incidents.
10. Ability to interpret and communicate complex compliance issues clearly.
11. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
12. Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
13. Strong presentation and communication skills.
14. Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
15. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.
16. Calm under pressure and committed to continuous improvement.

18. Experience in the UK pensions or insurance industry.
19. Data protection qualification (e.g. CIPP/E or CIPP/M) or working towards one.
