About The Role

Balfour Beatty is seeking an experienced Foreman / Supervisor to join our Regional Civils team working on the Lodge Hill Highways Project in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of a high-profile highways scheme, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and right-first-time delivery.

You will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating labour and plant, and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards

What you'll be doing

As a Foreman/Supervisor You Will

Supervising day-to-day site operations and coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
Ensuring all works are carried out safely in line with Balfour Beatty procedures and statutory requirements
Delivering works to programme while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
Briefing teams through toolbox talks, daily briefings and task briefings
Monitoring progress, identifying issues and escalating where required
Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements
Supporting the Site Manager with planning, reporting and site documentation
Promoting a positive safety culture and leading by example on site.

Who We're Looking For

You will have the following:

Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on highways or civil engineering projects
Strong knowledge of safe systems of work and construction best practice
The ability to lead, motivate and manage site teams effectively
Good communication and organisational skills
Relevant SMSTS or SSSTS certification (or willingness to obtain)
CSCS card (Supervisor level or above)
