Working closely with our Laboratory Technicians, Analysts, and Microbiologists, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate registration and flow of samples through the laboratory. Days Per Week: 4on/4off from 8am to 8pm Contract: Full Time & Permanent Salary: £25,834 £2000 location allowance per annum Hiring Manager: Marcin Kruk Closing Date: Tuesday 21st October 2025 The day to day Accurately register samples for a variety of analytical tests using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Perform allocated tasks in accordance with documented methodologies and procedures Conduct daily quality control checks and instrument calibrations Communicate effectively with team leaders regarding any issues with sample processing Manage incoming queries from customers via phone, email, or in person, and ensure clear communication of sample requirements to the laboratory team Work collaboratively with the lab team to ensure smooth workflow and prioritisation of samples Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the laboratory, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly Complete all paperwork clearly, accurately, and legibly The essentials Minimum 5 GCSEs (grades 9 - 4) or equivalent, including Science, English, and Mathematics Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills Strong organisational abilities and able to prioritise tasks independently Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach Basic IT literacy and familiarity with laboratory environments preferred Able to follow instructions precisely and work effectively as part of a team Understanding of and adherence to Health & Safety procedures, including PPE use and manual handling of chemicals Committed to maintaining Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Ensures work aligns with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 quality standards Our benefits include: Annual Leave commencing at 20 days.
