Job Description:
We are seeking an Events Operations Manager at Fairmont St Andrews! The role involves overseeing banquet operations, ensuring excellent service, and leading a dedicated team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
* Adhering to departmental policies, procedures, and standards
* Maintaining a first-class visual impact of all functions, including ambiance and décor
* Training and coaching team members
* Managing the departmental budget responsibly
* Maintaining accurate financial reporting and billing
* Responding promptly and professionally to guest concerns
* Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of banquet facilities
* Attending pre-conference meetings with clients
* Collaborating with the Event Planning Team to align on vision
* Balancing operational, administrative, and staff needs
* Conducting departmental meetings
* Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Minimum two years of leadership experience in banquet or multi-unit food and beverage operations
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Highly responsible and reliable
* Proven ability to develop a diverse and effective team
* Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous
* Eligible to work in the UK
