Hours:35 Hours Per Week
Salary: £ 28,434-£30,602
Salary dependent on skills experience and knowledge and an unsocial allowance will be added monthly.

Banbury Wellbeing Hub, Banbury, OX16 5DN.

What will you do?
The Safe Haven Deputy Manager’s role is to be part of the Safe Haven management team and jointly ensure effective delivery of high-quality service for adults experiencing mental health crisis in Oxfordshire. The post holder will be required to independently lead a safe and effective shift and offer crisis mental health support for people presenting in mental health crisis including assessing risks, facilitating re-focusing activities, and conducting one-to-one support sessions on the phone and face to face focusing on person-centred listening, grounding, safety planning and exploring coping strategies.
The Deputy Manager will lead on shift handovers and provide support to staff on day-to-day activities as well as provide one-to-one supervision for their direct reports. The team takes part in handovers, one to one supervision and complex case discussions to aid their ability to reflect, learn and support Safe Haven service users within the remit of the service.
Key responsibilities
1. Support team manager in the resourcing, administration and safe day to day running of the team and project
2. Effectively lead, supervise and develop staff to achieve their full potential
3. Lead an effective and safe shift across multiple locations and provide guidance and support to staff making day-to-day decisions
4. Provide person-centred, short-term one-to-one support and group distraction activities for people experiencing mental health crisis
5. Conduct regular, dynamic risk assessments and respond with appropriate interventions for service users who present in crisis and/or at high risk of harm
6. Identify when escalating risks is essential and when it is important to support and empower service users to manage their own risks
7. Work well as part of a Safe Haven team and a bigger multidisciplinary Crisis Care Pathway Team to ensure consistent crisis management
8. Collect and accurately record service user data onto a secure database in a timely manner and support the team manager with reporting
9. Liaise with colleagues, partner organisations and professional agencies to support service users
