Head of Software Engineering
Bedfordshire (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
Permanent: £100,000 - £110,000 + up to 25% bonus
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company for a Head of Software Engineering, where you will own the strategy of digital and data engineering and delivery across the business.
What you’ll do be doing:
* Own and lead software engineering and delivery across Digital, Commercial and Data products.
* Recruit, manage and develop technical leads and software engineers.
* Introduce and embed engineering practices: sprint-based delivery, CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, architecture review cadence.
What you’ll need:
* A background in software engineering is essential.
* A delivery-first engineering leader with experience of line managing engineering teams across Digital products is a must. Data Engineering experience is a plus.
* Ability to demonstrate experience of building in-house capabilities whilst leading third party resource.
