Responsibilities
* Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their educational and social development
* Assisting teachers in planning and implementing individualised education programmes
* Providing one-on-one support to students in the classroom
* Helping students with personal care and mobility needs, if required
* Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications
* Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience
Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
Knowledge and Skills
* Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
* Ability to provide individualised support to students
* Effective communication and relationship-building skills
* Basic knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
* First Aid certification
* Additional training in supporting students with specific needs
Working Conditions
This role involves working in a classroom setting with students who have special educational needs. The working hours are full-time during school term times. The successful candidate may need to assist with personal care and mobility needs of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
