An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QA Technician to join a leading food manufacturer, reporting directly to the Factory Technical Manager. This role plays a key part in ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance across a busy production environment. Key Responsibilities Compile, issue, and train staff on process control records and quality standards Attend trials and product launches to support technical requirements Audit and monitor food safety, quality, and legality within the factory Conduct internal audits (systems, GMP, CCP) Investigate customer complaints and attend complaint review meetings Troubleshoot and support Operations/Technical teams in resolving issues Monitor hygiene, food safety, GMP, traceability, allergen management, legality, and quality standards Carry out traceability and mass balance exercises Ensure foreign body controls are in place and effective Organise and attend QC panels, ensuring corrective actions are followed up Calibrate key equipment and perform swabbing (microbiological and allergen) as required Maintain GMP standards to ensure readiness for unannounced audits and customer visits Knowledge, Skills & Experience Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment OR a degree in food science Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., BRC), auditing, and HACCP desirable Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills across all levels Organisational skills to thri...
