Ashwood Spencer Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivational and caring Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant. This role will entail supporting pupils within early years and Key Stage 1 who have an EHCP. You will lead 1-1 and small group interventions based upon needs identified within the EHCPs.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting children under the direction of the class teacher and supported by the SENDCos, ensuring, as far as can be reasonably expected, the safety and wellbeing of these pupils.
* Providing strong behaviour management strategies.
* Understanding how different pupils learn and identifying the barriers that affect their learning.
* Supporting the delivery of creative and innovative approaches to learning, driving differentiated planning and confident in resourcing to impact on all pupils’ learning.
* Encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour and supporting them where necessary.
