Overview

The Governors wish to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, talented and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader of Languages who will support the continued development of our Languages Department. We are looking for a passionate and motivated teacher who believes that all pupils can achieve their full potential and will challenge them to unlock that potential and develop the tools they need to explore beyond what they consider to be possible. An inspirational and innovative classroom teacher and leader, who is passionate about Languages and keen to improve standards for all pupils. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age range and be committed to raising standards of attainment and developing the success of the department. They will set high expectations for themselves, their department and the pupils.


Responsibilities

* Curriculum leadership: lead and manage the Languages curriculum area, contribute to whole-school policy development and drive high standards of achievement within the department.
* Teaching and learning: deliver outstanding lessons across the age range and contribute to raising attainment and developing pupil success.
* Departmental leadership: promote initiatives within their area of responsibility, manage day-to-day order and discipline within the department and around the school, and maintain an encouraging learning environment.
* Collaboration: work with other staff to support school management initiatives and professional development.
* Behaviour and welfare: contribute to a well-ordered, aesthetic and safe learning environment with high standards of behaviour and courtesy.
