Scope of Supervision & Interaction:
The Early Careers Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of early career programs, including internships, work experience programmes, and apprenticeships. This position involves collaboration with various departments to attract, engage, and retain early talent, ensuring a positive onboarding experience and career development opportunities. The role requires working strategically and tactically with the Early Careers Specialist and senior leadership to align programmes with group and corporate strategy.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the pastoral care of individuals on defined early careers programmes (circa 90+ participants).
2. Ensure global HR policies and processes are applied.
3. Assist in designing and implementing early career programs aligned with organisational goals.
4. Coordinate, plan, and attend career and outreach events.
5. Support and facilitate training and development programmes for diverse audiences.
6. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract and retain a diverse talent pool via job fairs, university partnerships, and online platforms.
7. Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout recruitment and onboarding.
8. Promote inclusivity within early careers programmes to attract diverse talent.
9. Work with the Early Careers Specialist to maximise the Apprenticeship Levy for new entrants and existing employees.
10. Coordinate onboarding for graduates and apprentices, ensuring a smooth transition.
11. Maintain records and documentation related to early career programmes, including budgets, schedules, and feedback.
12. Partner with Corporate Communications to enhance brand awareness and external reputation as an Early Careers employer.
13. Act as an ambassador for Early Careers internally and externally, promoting opportunities within the sector and Parker Meggitt.
14. Collaborate with Business Resource Groups (e.g., STEM, Young Professionals) to achieve shared strategic goals.
15. Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners, including universities, schools, and training providers.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience in recruitment, talent development, or HR coordination.
* Knowledge of early career programs and university recruitment.
* Understanding of the UK Levy via DAS account.
* Practical knowledge of apprentice/skills development best practices.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels.
* Strong relationship-building abilities with outstanding listening skills.
* Experience in building brand presence to attract top talent.
* Ability to work independently with strong prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
* Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Passion for developing early talent and fostering diversity in the workforce.
