Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our Protein Sciences team. The ideal candidate will have a background in protein purification, biophysical characterisation, and analysis. Experience working with novel format biologics and/or with analytical equipment such as a HPLC would be desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to the purification, and characterization of recombinant proteins to support our drug discovery and development programmes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, cutting-edge research environment and contribute to the advancement of novel therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities
Support all projects through the purification of proteins expressed from bacterial and mammalian cell culture.
Characterise purified material using standard techniques (UV-vis, SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC, icIEF etc).
Contribute to the development of purification and analytical methods.
Communicate findings to colleagues and peers.
Collaborate with other scientists across different teams.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (BSc, MSc, or equivalent with industry experience) in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field.
Experience in protein purification and characterisation techniques
Experience with the AKTA automated purification systems and Unicorn software are desirable.
Experience with a variety of protein analysis techniques, including gel electrophoresis and chromatography is essential.
Knowledge of analytics techniques such as HPLC-SEC would be desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
