About the Team:

Our Coaching Team is passionate about developing talent at all levels, from our youngest Academy members to the first team. Our holistic coaching philosophy emphasizes technical skills, tactical awareness, mental resilience, and sportsmanship.

We prioritize open communication with players and their families, providing regular updates on training progress and development opportunities. Join us to elevate coaching standards at Sunderland AFC, where every player is encouraged to grow, excel, and love the game!


The Opportunity:

Plan, create, and evaluate coaching sessions aligned with the weekly schedule, ensuring each session is purposeful and well-structured. Deliver training with a focus on individual player development, tailoring content to meet specific needs and objectives. Provide impactful feedback to support ongoing player progression. Oversee trialists, offering evaluations and feedback to inform signing and exit decisions, always keeping player retention a priority.


About The Candidate

What We Ask For:

Maintain consistent communication with the Cell Lead to ensure alignment in player development. Monitor, evaluate, and provide feedback on all players within the Shadow Group and Pre-Academy as part of succession planning. Create and sustain a supportive environment for player and staff development. Participate actively in meetings to contribute to progress. Identify improvement areas and collaborate with the Academy Senior Management Team and multidisciplinary teams to meet performance standards.
