Overview

We are looking to recruit a Senior IT Technician to help support our schools in the Didcot area. The successful candidate will benefit from the support of our experienced IT teams located throughout Surrey and Oxfordshire and will build links with the Trust IT team and the Service Delivery Manager and Head of Operations. The candidate will provide first- and second-line support, working with a range of systems and users with varying skills, and will need to find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT. The candidate will assist the school in adopting new technologies and ensuring that IT services deliver benefits to teaching and learning. This is a site-based role at Aureus School; on occasion, the candidate may be required to visit other GLF schools in the Didcot region. The candidate will also be required to attend IT team training events held at the GLF Trust offices (Earlsfield, Banstead) at scheduled dates. A full UK driving license is beneficial, but not a requirement if the candidate can demonstrate that they have the means to meet the travel requirements for the role.


Responsibilities

* Provide first- and second-line IT support to schools and users with varying skills.
* Work with a range of systems and users to resolve issues affecting all aspects of IT.
* Assist the school in adopting new technologies and ensuring that IT services deliver benefits to teaching and learning.
* Collaborate with the Trust IT team, Service Delivery Manager, and Head of Operations.
* Attend IT team training events at scheduled dates.


Qualifications

* Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, and deployment.
* Experience in an educational environment (beneficial).
* Understanding of ITIL, service and project delivery (beneficial).
* Ability to communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels within an organisation.
