Job Description
The Credit Risk Analytics Manager is responsible for the delivering the bank’s approach to credit risk analytics.
Please note that this position is a Fixed Term Contract for 24 months.
Responsibilities
* Develop and enhance credit risk strategies for lending portfolios utilizing data-driven methodologies to assess and manage credit risk effectively.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of customer credit profiles, trends, and economic indicators to identify potential risks and opportunities in the portfolio.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and business development, to align credit risk strategies with overall business objectives.
* Lead the design, implementation and ongoing development of management information (MI) that monitors credit risk within FCE’s lending portfolios.
* Support from a Risk perspective the development of models to forecast expected credit losses under IFRS9 and US GAAP standards, including EAD, PD, LGD and Staging models, incorporating qualitative and quantitative considerations of SICR and appropriate EIR proxies for discounting.
* Support from a Risk perspective consideration of PMAs and other management judgement overlays to expected credit loss reserves that counter model deficiencies reflect model risk
* Provide subject matter expert advice supporting the maintenance of credit risk models in line with prudential regulation in the relevant UK and European markets
* In conjunction with the credit risk team, develop, maintain and implement Credit Risk Policies in line with company strategy.
* Collaborate with first-line operational areas involved in credit risk management to deliver efficient and effective processes for credit risk management.
* Contribute to the ICAAP through review, challenge, and direct inputs
* Work closely with other business areas to support the bank’s strategic growth initiatives
Qualifications
The minimum requirements we seek:
* Proven experience in credit risk analysis, strategy development, and portfolio management within lending
* Strong proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as SAS, R, or Python, or experience with data visualization tools.
* Familiarity with credit scorecards, decision trees, and other credit risk models.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically and make data-driven decisions.
* Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex information to diverse stakeholders effectively.
* A self-motivated and results-driven attitude, with a passion for achieving excellence.
* Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment, creating and leveraging strong relationships both internally and externally and bringing gravitas to any negotiations.
* Possess strong communication skills, enabling effective interfacing with senior leaders, Board members and global stakeholders.

This position is based in Dunton, and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton office for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
