Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a global service provider to the renewable energy sector with a focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation. Setting industry standards and contributing to the advancement of the energy sector worldwide to recruit for a HV Service Technician on a 6-month contract for work offshore in the UK.
The HV Service Technician role comes with a day rate up to £550 per day depending on experience.
Key skills
Proven experience in switchgear maintenance (33kV) within the renewable energy or related industry.
Proficiency in carrying out protection updates to safeguard switchgear systems.
Familiarity with primary and secondary relay trip testing methodologies.
Completion of EHS-8270 course or equivalent training in protection relay and primary/secondary relay trip testing.
Additional training in switchgear maintenance and troubleshooting (e.g., Faraday Centre P1 course, Siemens WEIZ training).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel and work in various locations within the UK as required.
Valid GWO package certification and medical clearance.
Location, remuneration and timeframe of the HV Technician role
Rotation: 1 week on/1 week off, Offshore UK
Start: 01/05/24 - End: 30/10/24
Day rate up to £550 depending on experience
