About the home
We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join Oak Tree House, our Children’s Home in Leamington Spa, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. This is a four bedded Children’s home for children aged 8-17 years. This is a therapeutic approach home designed to provide a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where children and young people feel safe, valued, and supported to develop and thrive. Our home is warm, welcoming, and tastefully furnished to create a sense of comfort and security.
About the role
1. Provide strong leadership and support to the team, ensuring therapeutic care is at the heart of everything we do.
2. Work collaboratively to create a safe, stable, and child-centred environment.
3. Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Care Standards, and safeguarding policies.
4. Support the Registered Manager in staff development, supervision, and performance management.
5. Lead by example in delivering trauma-informed, relationship-based care.
6. Maintain accurate records and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
7. Participate in the on-call duty system and oversee day-to-day operations.
Key Requirements
8. Experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker in a Children’s Home.
9. Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
10. Knowledge of therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.
11. Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a team.
12. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
13. Full UK Driving Licence.
