About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Technician with a strong carpentry background and proven experience in commercial building services. This static role, based at a high-profile site in West Sussex, offers a dynamic working environment and a rotating shift pattern that supports work-life balance.
You’ll be responsible for a broad range of maintenance tasks, from fabric repairs and joinery to supporting plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. A key part of the role involves working with various lock installations, including digital locks, ensuring site security and functionality.
??? Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out fabric maintenance and carpentry tasks (e.g. door repairs, furniture fixes, partitioning, flooring, and general joinery)
2. Install, repair, and maintain various lock systems, including mechanical and digital locks (e.g. digi locks, keypad systems)
3. Support wider building services including basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical maintenance
4. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive issues
5. Assist with small works and refurbishment projects across the site
6. Conduct water hygiene tasks (e.g. flushing, temperature checks)
7. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
8. Liaise with site teams, contractors, and helpdesk to ensure smooth service delivery
9. Adhere to health & safety procedures, permits to work, and risk assessments
?? Requirements:
10. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent trade qualification
11. Strong experience in commercial environments such as offices, healthcare, retail, or hospitality
12. Good understanding of lock installations, including digital locking systems
13. Basic competency in other trades (e.g. plumbing, HVAC, electrical)
14. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
15. Ability to work independently across both day and night shifts

16. Experience with CAFM systems and digital reporting
17. Familiarity with BMS alerts and fault diagnostics
18. Awareness of water hygiene and building compliance
