Control Room and Emergency Planning Manager

The role of the CCTV Room & Emergency Planning Manager is a new, exciting, and important role for Stockport Homes Group (SHG). The role will take strategic responsibility for the organisation's CCTV service and ‘Out of Hours’ response in emergencies, ensuring robust continuity and emergency plans are in place, tested, and proven.
In this role, you will:
1. Lead all aspects of people management, employee engagement, customer excellence, and service performance in a fast-paced directorate operating 24-hour services.
2. Manage Control Room & CCTV Team Leaders, providing leadership and supporting effective teamwork for operational tasks and performance.
3. Maintain high staff engagement and morale, managing several service areas and supporting ongoing structural changes.
4. Align SHG’s emergency plans with the wider Civil Contingency plan and ensure they are tested against the GMRU strategy 2020-2030, meeting GM Prepared principles.
5. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure an effective and streamlined Out of Hours (OOH) service.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Strong people management and talent development skills, including effective recruitment and onboarding.
* Experience working with customers, resolving complaints satisfactorily.
* Excellent communication skills for meetings, reports, and training.
* Experience in Service Delivery management, especially in 24-hour/control room/OOH environments.
* Ability to work under pressure, with a positive problem-solving approach and effective decision-making.
* Ability to build relationships with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
* Experience managing operational teams and delivering services to standards and targets.
* Business acumen to explore service sales and funding opportunities.
* Resilience and energy to thrive in challenging environments.

The successful applicant will undergo DBS clearance, provide employment references covering 5 years, and obtain an SIA CCTV Licence (funded by SHG). They must also complete GMP Vetting for Police Airwaves Radios, requiring UK residency for 3+ years.
* Evidence of continuous professional development or relevant qualifications.
* Knowledge of the Social Housing Sector and emergency preparedness.
* Specialist experience in CCTV monitoring major incidents involving large staff and public.
* Understanding of IT systems' impact on resilience planning.
