Job description
Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced KS3-5 Music Teacher to fill a maternity teaching position in a secondary school in Watford, Hertfordshire. The position begins in January 2026 and will continue until the end of the academic year, and extend into the next school year.
This is a school where students’ attitudes to learning are generally positive and thus progress. The behaviour is generally good, and Teachers here have high expectations, and these are often met by pupils.

The right Music Teacher will be:
13. Experienced with the UK curriculum
14. Confident with teaching Key Stage 3-4 Music
15. Able to teach up to A Level
16. Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
17. Available from January 2026
The successful Secondary Music Teacher will have the following:
18. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
19. A degree in Music or a relevant subject
20. UK classroom teaching experience
21. Eligibility to work in the UK
22. Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
23. A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
