Yard duties include: Use of FLT Counterbalance. Unloading/loading of vehicles, ensuring a timely turnaround. Accurate weighing of goods in. Accurate tagging of goods for identification purposes. Movement of stock within the yard and plant using the FLT. Ensuring the yard area is kept clean and tidy. Ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will be part of a small team and must be able to work to the required targets and highest standards. Please note that there is some manual work involved, including lifting, therefore you should be physically fit, and you must be willing to work outdoors all year-round in the yard. Requirements: - Previous experience as a yard operative or similar role is preferred. Counterbalance forklift license is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage physical demands of the job, such as heavy lifting. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately weigh goods. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Strong commitment to health and safety procedures. Ability to engage with customers visiting site. Reliable, with good timekeeping. What can we offer? £13.50 per hour start rate. Weekly pay. Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm; 40 hours per week but must be flexible. Overtime available, paid at time and a half. 28 days paid holidays (224 hours), including bank holidays. Holidays increase with service to a maximum of 25 days (264 hours) pro rata plus bank holidays. Length of Service Gift Reward Scheme. Company pension scheme. Uniform provided.
