S&A Produce are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team at our site in Marden, Herefordshire.

S&A Produce is the UK's largest independent strawberry grower, dedicated to innovative agricultural practices. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and sustainability, serving major food retailers with fresh produce year-round.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Taking full responsibility for managing and overseeing key customers' accounts: monitoring supply performance on a weekly/monthly basis vs. budget; working to targets set and to customer KPIs. Develop and maintain strong and productive working relationships with customers whilst instilling confidence in the supply relationship. Responsible for pricing, complaints, and query resolution.

Ensuring all customers are dealt with in a professional, timely and effective manner; informing the Senior Commercial Manager of any problems that arise. Efficiently resolving any errors or discrepancies the customer has experienced in order to maintain a good working relationship. Ensure effective and regular communication with all related departments on matters concerning any customer requirements (pricing, promotional activity/labelling, delivery locations, order amendments, delivery schedules, specifications and line changers etc).

Preparation of data reports and presentations for internal and external use where required

To assist in the formulation of the annual commercial budget.

Ensure self-compliance to all Company and Statutory Rules, Policies and Procedures.

Strength of relationship with customers/internal teams.
Commercial performance verses budget.
All Customer meetings/visits.
All relevant business/customer information is communicated through the correct channels, in an accurate and timely manner.

Develops productive relationships with external customers. Gains respect and trust amongst customer base. Enhances company reputation through consistency of approach, knowledge and behaviour.

Results driven, practical and decisive. Understands how an effective and efficiently run commercial operation can contribute to overall business profitability.

A strong communicator both within and outside the company. Able to develop productive working relationships with colleagues in other departments, customers and external institutions. Encourages and acts on meaningful feedback.

Strong presentation and negotiation skills. High confidence, tact and a persuasive yet professional manner. Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets. Good spoken and written communication skills and general good 'people skills'. Experience of the produce sector is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
