Full-Time | 5 days a week | The Pilgrm, Paddington
The Pilgrm is looking for a full-time Head of Breakfast Chef to join our small and thoughtful team. This is a key role within the hotel, leading our breakfast service and setting the tone for the day not just for our guests, but for the team too.
Were after someone with a sharp eye for detail, a warm and calm approach, and a genuine love for hospitality. Someone who enjoys cooking simple things really well, and takes pride in consistency, cleanliness and care.
Youll be hands-on in the kitchen, managing breakfast service, working closely with the front of house team, and helping to shape new ideas for our food offering as the hotel continues to grow. Youll also take ownership of kitchen organisation, food safety, stock control and prep planning helping keep things running smoothly and to a high standard each day.
This role would suit a confident chef looking to take a step up or someone with previous experience running a small service. We're a close-knit team and looking for someone who values collaboration, calmness and the idea that great hospitality should feel effortless.
Responsibilities include: Leading breakfast service for hotel guests and occasional external visitors
Supporting or leading small event catering when required
Managing stock, orders, deliveries and kitchen cleanliness
Creating and costing new dishes, with input from the wider team
Maintaining excellent food safety, cleanliness and COSHH standards
Collaborating closely with front of house to ensure smooth service
Helping drive forward the quality and consistency of our offering
About You Experienced in breakfast or all-day casual dining settings
Happy leading a small team and working independently when needed
Organised, detail-driven and calm under pressure
Enthusiastic about seasonal ingredients, clean presentation and good prep
Comfortable managing a kitchen space to a high standard
Positive, open and happy to contribute ideas and energy to the wider team
