We are recruiting to a finance apprentice role within the council. If you are aged 16 and over you can apply for an apprenticeship with us. Please read the eligibility criteria.
Working closely with finance colleagues, you will provide administrative, technical and financial accounting support across the organisation, specifically working on the Homes and Neighbourhoods area, which manages the Councils housing stock including repairs and maintenance works across Kirklees. You will have the opportunity to gain a professional accounting technician qualification through the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
You will work as a Finance Clerk Apprentice. You will be required to complete a 3-year training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through attendance at college or through other distance learning methods. You will complete an Assistant Accounts apprenticeship starting at NVQ level 2 and you will gain an Association of Accounting Technician qualification. Upon successful completion you will then progress onto a Level 3 Assistant Accountant qualification.
