Job Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be provided with support and training to ensure that allocated tasks are performed with confidence and competency, with the understanding that guidance and reassurance is always at hand.
The selected candidates will be expected to perform routine daily tasks, including the use and maintenance of digital scanning equipment, and the integration of digital scanning within the main laboratory.
The candidates will assist pathologists with dissection, receipt of specimens, and maintenance of equipment throughout the laboratory. They will also have an opportunity to assist with the filing of blocks and slides.
The Department of Histopathology is ISO15189:2012 accredited and is a recognised HCPC / IBMS training laboratory. Successful candidates may rotate throughout the laboratory, inclusive of both Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, participating in activities in each area according to service needs.
