Solution Architect
3 month initial contract
Location: London
Work arrangement: 2-3 days per week in the office
Our client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join their team on a contract basis.
This role is hybrid, with offices based in Central London.
Ideal candidates will have experience in Finance and SAP architecture.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver and govern end-to-end solution designs for projects, programs, and change requests, ensuring alignment with our Principles, Tech Priorities, and Roadmaps.
2. Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with key business, IT, and third-party contacts.
3. Ensure the quality of the overall solution and maintain up-to-date architecture repository data reflecting the current state.
4. Manage the design process in collaboration with internal and external partners and support vendor relationships.
5. Align design changes with business priorities and roadmaps, balancing technical debt pragmatically.
6. Own the Architecture Review Board (ARB), Design Authority (DA), and solution approvals, managing IT/Technical Debt within your domain.
7. Oversee the IT estate to identify and mitigate risks appropriately.
8. Minimize duplication of capabilities and ensure solutions are well documented and accessible.
9. Support strategic decision-making, maintaining agility in response to events.
10. Translate IT strategies into investment portfolio plans.
11. Deliver migration plans from the current state to future goals.
12. Assist with RFI/RFP processes and vendor selection using standardized approaches and assessment tools.
13. Engage with and foster an Architecture Community, connecting with industry SMEs and staying updated on technological trends.
