Hampton by Hilton Nuneaton will form part of the Abbey Street mixed-use redevelopment that will include a residential component alongside workspaces, a large cinema complex, a food hall and landscaped public spaces. The hotel will feature 145 rooms, meeting space and a fitness centre.

A maintenance manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. You are responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including energy conservation.
What will I be doing?
10. Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules
11. Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas
12. Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property
13. Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations
14. Prepare Capital and Repairs and Maintenance budgets for Engineering
15. Perform daily checks around the hotel
16. Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
17. Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
18. Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers
19. Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
20. Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs
21. Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses
22. Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively
23. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
24. Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment
25. Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives
26. Manage all Team Member related activities, including recruitment, performance management, training, career planning, disciplinary matters, and team motivation
What are we looking for?
27. Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
28. A degree in Engineering or similar
29. Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting
30. Positive attitude
31. Good communication skills
32. Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
33. Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team
34. Excellent grooming standards
35. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
36. Ability to work under pressure
37. Ability to work on their own
38. Previous experience of facilities management
39. Proficient, at an advanced level, with computers and relevant computer programs
