Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Quat‑Chem Limited in Rochdale. This vital role contributes to maintaining and improving our biosecurity equipment and systems, supporting our mission to ensure food safety across the globe.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Adhere to company health & safety regulations and follow all procedures including, and not limited to, LOTO, SSOW, Permitting and awareness of workplace hazards and reporting.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across electrical and building services.
* Fault finding and troubleshooting on single and 3 phase electrical equipment.
* Ability to test, inspect and log all electrical activity undertaken on site.
* Become the electrical duty holder for the site (training provided).
* Data (Cat5e/Cat6) and CCTV cabling and usage.
* Fire alarm working knowledge with weekly testing.
* Responsible for the installation and relocations of plant and machinery.
* Assisting engineers in their general maintenance duties as and when required.
* Dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Skills & Experience Required
* Fully qualified, time served electrician. Qualified to the 18th Edition of BS7671 and City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Test.
* Previous experience within manufacturing or chemical process environment is preferred.
* DSEAR, IPAF and CompEx qualifications are desirable but not essential.
* Experience with fault finding on 3 phase & single-phase control circuits.
* Knowledge of motors and control gear.
* Must have knowledge of wiring standards and the ability to read and interpret drawings.
* Basic PLC knowledge is desirable but not essential.
* Good level of IT skills and the ability to input data and reports onto the CMMS system.
* IPAF and PASMA Training will be provided.
* Willingness to attend training as part of ongoing professional development.
* Ability to work in a close team environment.
