Intermediate Cost Engineer (Engineering & Construction) - Birmingham, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development and implementation of cost control strategies for engineering and construction projects.
* Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
* Track and analyze project expenditures, identifying variances and potential risks.
* Support the preparation of earned value management (EVM) reports.
* Assist in the valuation of variations and the management of change control processes.
* Liaise effectively with project teams, including engineers, project managers, and commercial staff.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of cost engineering processes and tools.
* Support the preparation of project close-out reports and lessons learned.
What They Are Looking For:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Some demonstrable experience in a cost engineering or similar role within the engineering or construction industry.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Familiarity with cost control principles and methodologies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software packages.
