The Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Nursery/EYFS Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for our children. You will work closely with the EYFS team to ensure every child feels happy, safe, and engaged.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering stimulating EYFS activities
* Working with small groups or individual children to support learning and development
* Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, including play and mealtimes
* Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
* Assisting with observation, assessment, and record-keeping
* Encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe environment
Skills and Qualities
* Experience of working with young children is essential
* Friendly, patient, and approachable
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to motivate and engage children through creative activities
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Qualifications and Training
Essential:
* Good standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths)
* NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent
* Willingness to undertake further training and professional development
Desirable:
* Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Experience
Essential:
* Experience of working with young children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Desirable:
* Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEND
* Experience of supporting phonics, early literacy, or numeracy
Skills & Abilities
Essential
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong organizational and time management skills
Desirable
* Ability to use basic IT for record-keeping and observations
* Creativity in planning and delivering activities
