Position: Commis Chef
Location: Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Salary: £14.75 per hour, 35 hours per week (£26,852 per year)
Shifts: 06:15 - 14:00 or 13:15 - 20:45, 5 days over 7
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, supporting senior chefs, and ensuring a high standard of food quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to high-quality standards and presented beautifully.
Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
Support the kitchen team with stock management and inventory as needed.Requirements:
Basic culinary skills and a passion for cooking.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Previous experience in a professional kitchen is an advantage but not essential.Benefits:
