Overview
HAYLEY DEXIS has a vacancy for a Fluid Power Technician / Mobile Engineer to work within our established team based in the Exeter area and regionally. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary. Hayley Dexis is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables in the UK, providing solutions to clients across various industries and ensuring the efficient operation of fluid power systems. As an experienced mobile engineer you’ll be working through your jobs list (typically booked 3 weeks in advance) as well as supporting call outs. You’ll visit customer sites and Hayley Group branches across the region.
Responsibilities
* Service onsite and in-house hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Assemble and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Assemble and install hydraulic hoses and fittings
* Carry out onsite air leak surveys and follow up with remedial work
* General mechanical engineering tasks
* Identify sales opportunities and maintain good customer engagement
Essential Skills & Attributes
* Excellent general engineering and hand tool skills
* Fluid power experience
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Good time management and problem-solving skills
* Intermediate IT skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills & Attributes
* NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering
* Cetop stage 1 hydraulic expertise
* Basic pneumatics skills at Level 1
* Proven experience in MRO for hydraulic systems
* Ability to identify hose assemblies and understand implications of replacements

Working Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Out of hours and weekend work may be required on an ad hoc basis.
