Working alongside subcontractors, and other labourers, you will take pride in your work, being aware of any potential risks or defects. What you'll doThe following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:OperationsCarry out general and skilled labouring including groundworks, carpentry, brickwork, and installations.Assist tradespeople including bricklayers, joiners, and groundworkersLoad, unload, move, and store materials and equipment safelyOperate hand tools and basic machinery as requiredSupport site setup, preparation, and dismantlingCarryout basic repairs or maintenance as directedManage time effectively, assisting site management in meeting targets. Health & SafetyAdhere to all site health and safety regulations and proceduresAlways use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Identify and report safety observations, near misses, and unsafe conditions or practiceFollow Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environmentCommunication & TeamworkFollow instructions from supervisors and site managementWork collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors and other tradesCommunicate effectively regarding progress, issues, or delaysReport incidents, near-misses, or defects promptlyQuality & ComplianceEnsure work is carried out to required quality standardsFollow site plans, drawings, and specifications accuratelySupport with routine checks and upkeep on tools and equipmentAssist in maintaining compliance with company and industry standardsWhat you'll bringTo succeed in this role, it is essential that your main skills and experience include:Recent, relevant experience within the construction industryCSR Card (or equivalent) at an appropriate levelA proactive, and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing situationsStrong understanding of Health and Safety in practice and relevant regulationsEffective communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityIt would also be desirable to have;First Aid at Work qualificationOur ValuesOur values are important to how we run our business.
