My client is currently looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their firm in Stockport.
THE ROLE
* Supporting Consultants in preparing accurate financial plans and suitability reports.
* Supporting the Consultants in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives.
* To provide support, where needed, to the Compliance and Technical Manager.
* Developing and maintaining internal relationships with various areas of the business to meet agreed targets.
* Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs.
* Managing individual workflow and delivery.
* Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
* To provide technical guidance to the Client Services assisting with product specific, technical and compliance based queries.
THE CANDIDATE
* Excellent understanding of the financial planning process.
* Good report writing skills.
* Experience working in a Paraplanning role.
* Achieved professional qualifications to at least Level 4 (Diploma in Financial Planning).
* Experience of defined benefit pension transfers and the use of cash flow forecasts would be highly valued.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Attention to quality, detail and accuracy and getting it right first time.
* Be able to question colleagues comfortably when the information they have provided is not fully understood or the reasons for advice are unclear.
* Ability to work within tight deadlines.
* Flexible and able to deal with a multitude of tasks at once, able to prioritise when there are apparent conflicts of time or resource.
* Client focused; friendly, helpful and considerate to all.
* Show initiative, being able to motivate and manage oneself and to have a desire to improve and develop.
