Swimming Instructor - Training Provided
Casual Swimming Instructor - Training Provided
Locations: Runnymede Leisure Centre (Benfleet) & Waterside Farm Leisure Centre (Canvey Island)Pay: £15–£19 per hour (depending on qualifications) - If unqualified starting at £15Contract Type: Casual

Castle Point Borough Council is looking for enthusiastic and committed Swimming Instructors to join our vibrant Swim Academy team. Whether you're newly qualified or looking to develop your skills, we offer a supportive environment and full training to help you thrive.
About The Role
As a Swimming Instructor, you'll:
Coach pupils aged 4+ in all aspects of swimming.
Design and deliver safe, progressive, and fun lessons.
Work closely with the Swim Academy Lead and team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Maintain and update your coaching qualifications.
Work flexible hours to suit the needs of the business.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from both qualified instructors and those looking to train. Ideally, you will hold:
Swim England Level 2 Certificate or STA Award/Certificate
RLSS NRASTC Qualification (desirable)
You should also be:
Friendly, well-presented, and customer-focused.
Motivated, organised, and able to work under pressure.
Creative in lesson planning and confident in working with children of all abilities.

Casual Employment Information
As a casual employee, you can choose whether to accept offered shifts. Once accepted, you are expected to attend work. Engagement ends at the end of each shift, and there is no obligation for future engagements.
