Overview
We are looking for an inspiring leader to head up the team responsible for our non-Microsoft enterprise platforms. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in driving innovation, delivering our enterprise platform strategy, and ensuring our systems are robust, future-proof, and user-focused.
As a key member of our management group, you’ll work closely with the Head of Digital Services, leading on technology refreshes and overseeing the support and evolution of our enterprise systems. Your ability to engage with stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate them into appropriate technical solutions will be crucial. You’ll also have the opportunity to nurture and develop your team, helping them grow and thrive.
Responsibilities
* Lead and head the team responsible for non-Microsoft enterprise platforms.
* Drive innovation and deliver our enterprise platform strategy.
* Oversee technology refreshes, support, and evolution of enterprise systems.
* Engage with stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
* Nurture and develop the team to help them grow and thrive.
* Collaborate with the Head of Digital Services and other leadership colleagues.
What you’ll bring (Responsibilities/Qualifications)
* Proven experience leading and managing technical teams
* A track record of delivering application support and development for business-critical systems
* Strong knowledge of SQL Server databases and relational structures
* Expertise in capturing and optimizing business processes
* Experience shaping strategy and policy for enterprise systems, ideally within the UK Higher Education sector
Desirable experience
* Experience implementing and supporting ERP systems
* Familiarity with our core enterprise systems (SITS, Unit4 ERP, iTrent, Scientia, and Kx)
* A passion for business and process automation and optimisation, always with the end-user in mind
