Equals £19,381 - £19,999 actual salary.
St Patrick’s Primary School is committed to providing the best outcomes for all pupils. The Governing Body are seeking to recruit an Assistant Cook-in-Charge to join our dedicated, hard-working team and delightful children. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Kitchen Unit Supervisor and will undertake duties such as fool preparation, serving food, kitchen cleaning duties, pot washing and any other duties commensurate with the role. The successful candidate will also be required to deputise for the Cook-in-Charge and undertake duties commensurate with that role, such as ordering stock. Ideally you will have a passion for cooking, working with children and be proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Experience of working in a school kitchen or similar environment would be desirable.
The post will be 33.25 paid hours/week, Monday to Friday, term time only, the specific hours being 7.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 6.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. on Fridays. The hours include a 15 minute unpaid meal break.
The successful candidate will hold or undertake training for the Food Hygiene Certificate at the relevant level.
