Join Our Team as a Technical Support Desk Engineer – Location: Guildford (Office-based) – Contract: Full-time, Permanent (PAYE) – Salary: £32,000-£37,000 + Paid Overtime (Saturday rota) – Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00-16:30 + Saturday rota (8:00-14:00, paid)
What You'll Be Doing
As a Technical Support Desk Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for our domestic boiler and hot water products. You\'ll provide remote technical support, troubleshoot issues, and guide customers, engineers, and installers to effective solutions.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Handling inbound calls and emails with professionalism and technical know-how
* Diagnosing faults and offering pre-sales and post-sales support
* Managing warranty claims and dispatching jobs to engineers
* Registering products and maintaining accurate system data
* Resolving customer complaints in line with company policies
* Supporting promotional and technical activities
* Collaborating with colleagues to improve service delivery
* Participating in our Saturday support rota (paid overtime)
* Attending training and occasional installer events
What You'll Bring
* Solid experience in technical support for heating or similar mechanical/electrical products
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (ideally 5+ years in the boiler/heating industry)
* ACS Core & Boiler certification (CCN1, CENWAT) - desirable
* Oil qualifications - a plus
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* A collaborative, customer-first mindset
* Bonus: Air source heat pump or F-Gas Cat 1 certification
