We are seeking a Senior Research Chemist to join our Fuels Specialties team, based at our Ellesmere Port laboratory facility. This is a high impact role where your independence, creativity and leadership will drive the next generation of fuel additives.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead and execute research projects from concept to delivery
* Design and conduct experiments, synthesise and test new molecules and interpret complex data to deliver project goals
* Stay ahead of industry trends by reviewing scientific literature and patents to inform your approach
* Collaborate across teams while owning your own work
* Communicate progress and results clearly to stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving momentum
* Apply advanced research tools and methodologies to accelerate development timelines
Requirements
* Qualified to Degree (or higher) in Chemistry or related scientific discipline with solid industrial R&D experience
* Proven ability to work independently in a research environment
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience in leading or mentoring others in a technical setting
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
