Description and Requirements
Lenovo’s Solutions and Services Group (SSG) is seeking a skilled and motivated Power and Cooling (PNC) Delivery Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced cooling systems in high-performance data centers. This role is essential to ensuring the successful deployment of direct liquid cooling (DLC), chilled water, and other secondary cooling infrastructure that supports mission-critical server environments.
The role will be based in EU as part of the Power and Cooling (PNC) team of Lenovo’s Solutions and Services Group (SSG).
The preferred application location is the UK, Romania, Netherlands, Hungary or other EU countries.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical and technical background, and experienced with industrial cooling systems, and a commitment to quality and safety. This position involves frequent travel to customer sites and close collaboration with engineering, project management, and service delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deploy and commission secondary cooling infrastructure, including DLC manifolds, heat exchangers, pumps, and piping systems.
2. Install and configure cooling system components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
3. Perform system checks, pressure testing, and leak detection to ensure operational readiness.
4. Support water treatment setup and monitoring to maintain system health and compliance.
5. Execute preventative maintenance tasks such as filter changes, flow validation, and sensor calibration.
6. Document installation procedures, test results, and maintenance activities.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful deployments.
8. Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during and after system commissioning.
9. Follow safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all field activities.
Qualifications:
10. 2+ years of experience in industrial cooling systems, HVAC, or data center infrastructure deployment.
11. Familiarity with chilled water systems, DLC, or other liquid-based cooling technologies.
12. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and installation schematics.
13. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
14. Willingness to travel frequently and work in data center environments.
15. OSHA 10/30 or similar safety certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
16. Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments or hyperscale data centers.
17. Customer support background with exposure to technical infrastructure drawings
18. Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and remote monitoring tools.
19. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
