The Role
As an SEN Art Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated art lessons tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
* Use innovative approaches to promote self-expression, skill development, and emotional well-being.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including SEN support staff, therapists, and other educators.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every student feels valued.
* Monitor progress, set individualised goals, and communicate effectively with parents/carers about achievements and next steps.
What We Are Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
* Have experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly in a creative context.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of a variety of artistic techniques and mediums.
* Are patient, empathetic, and committed to making a difference in students’ lives.
* Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
