Job Title: Warehouse / FLT Operator Location: Skelmersdale Pay Rates £12.96 per hour Day shift £15.81 per hour Shift rate £14.89 per hour FLT Day rate (Pay rate dependent on shift pattern and duties) Working Hours Rotating Shifts (38 hours per week) Shift patterns include: Early Shift: 6:00am 2:00pm (MonThurs) 6:00am 12:00 noon (Fri) Day/Late Shift: 9:30am 6:00pm (MonThurs) 8:30am 3:00pm (Fri) Flexibility to work across shift patterns is essential. Contract Length: 1 year minimum Equipment Operated (PIV/FLT) Candidates must be competent and certified to operate one or more of the following: Bendi / Flexi Forklift Truck Man-Up Order Picker Counterbalance Forklift Truck Valid FLT/PIV certification is required. Key Responsibilities as a warehouse/ FLT operator: Picking customer and production orders accurately and efficiently. Supplying materials and components to production cells in line with schedules. Receiving, checking, and putting away incoming goods. Preparing orders for dispatch, including packing, labelling and documentation. Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate material handling equipment. Moving stock within the warehouse using PIV/FLT equipment. Updating computer systems with stock movements and shipment records. Maintaining housekeeping and complying with all health & safety procedures. Identifying stock or process issues and escalating where necessary. Ideal Candidate Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing or production-support warehouse environment desirable. Ability to work with moderate supervision and follow written and verbal instructions. Good attention to detail and accuracy in picking and stock handling. Basic computer skills for stock and shipment recording. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
