Job Description
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialist inpatient service for young people with eating disorders. This role can be full or part time focusing on delivering evidence-based Tier 4 CAMHS care to individuals aged 12–18, all within a safe and structured 16-bed unit designed to support therapeutic engagement and recovery.
You will work as part of an experienced, multidisciplinary team delivering a programme of care that includes CBT, CRT, and motivational therapies.
Salary: Up to £165k dependant on experience + £8,400 car allowance + £10,000 bonus

Setting: Tier 4 CAMHS Inpatient Eating Disorder Service
Location: Brighton
Your key responsibilities will be;
• Lead inpatient care as Responsible Clinician for a 16-bed CAMHS unit
• Provide psychiatric assessments and review treatment plans
• Attend MDTs, ICRs, CPAs and tribunals
• Oversee mental health act responsibilities, including CETRs
• Supervise clinical staff and support risk management processes
• Participate in CPD and clinical governance initiatives
• Take part in CAMHS Consultant on-call rota
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
• Specialist Register status in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
• Experience with CAMHS and eating disorders (inpatient desirable)
• Section 12(2) and AC approval (or eligibility)
• Excellent clinical leadership and communication skills
