Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Aberdeen Dental Hospital and Institute of Dentistry to the post of Band 4 Dental Nurse.
Qualifications
You will possess a registerable qualification - NEBDN National certificate, SVQ & PDA Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent. Have relevant clinical experience in Dental Nursing with a comprehensive knowledge of various treatments and techniques and have full registration with the GDC including up to date CPD.
Responsibilities
The post holder will provide high-quality chairside support to clinicians across a range of dental specialties, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care. The post holder will also contribute to clinical education of trainee dental nurses and patient reassurance within a busy hospital setting.
Working pattern
This is a part-time post, 15 hours per week on days, Wednesday and Thursday, but may be subject to change. Working times are between Monday and Friday with a start time of 8.30am finishing at 4.30pm. Salaries are paid at Band 4.
Skills and attributes
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and IT skills are essential for this role, along with a forward thinking outlook and the ability to act quickly to meet the dental patient’s needs.
