SEND Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced TA with a passion for working with children with complex needs and non-verbal communication?
We are currently seeking a dedicated TA to work one-to-one with a child coming into reception class at primary school on the outskirts of Wigan. The child has complex needs which include Global Delay and nonverbal communication, the child requires some personal care which involves nappy changing. This is a full-time, ongoing role, working 5 days a week, 8.30am-3.30pm, with daily pay rates 95-99 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one support for a child with complex needs, including Global Development Delay and nonverbal communication.
* Assist with personal care as required, including nappies as part of daily care.
* Support the child’s progress within a reception class setting and work collaboratively with teaching staff.
Qualifications
* Qualified to NVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
* Experience of working with SEND
* Experience of the National Curriculum
* Knowledge of intervention strategies
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
* Legal right to work in the UK
