Main duties of the job
* Provide clinical services to patients at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and GPs, and attend multi-disciplinary meetings to provide high quality clinical care.
* Support the Emergency department and acute medicine to make sure patients receive timely care and flow through the hospital efficiently.
* Offer consultation and advice to clinical colleagues across the Trust and Primary Care.
* Attend cross-county and cross-site meetings to collaborate with other teams and contribute to high-quality service delivery.
* Work alongside colleagues to help achieve the Trusts goals and meet the departments objectives.
* Join the middle-grade rota to provide emergency and urgent care outside normal working hours. To ensure duties are shared equally.
* Be ready to attend the hospital when needed for patient reviews during non-resident on-call shifts.
* Provide care for minor injuries and emergencies, as well as general ED clinical work.
* Support the Consultant team with daily patient reviews in the Clinical Decision Unit and ED review clinics.
* Help with teaching VTS trainees, FY2s, and middle-grade doctors. You'll also participate in training programs for Regional SAS Grade and Specialist Registrars.
* Collaborate with the clinical governance lead to help develop the ED service and ensure we meet national targets.

A suitably experienced post-holder will be expected to provide an appropriate clinical service in the relevant specialty to patients of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and to General Practitioners.
The post-holder will be expected to provide a service to patients of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, General Practitioners and to attend multi-disciplinary meetings. The successful candidate will be expected to work within multi-disciplinary teams in providing high quality clinical care.
The post-holder will provide support to the A& E department and acute medicine to ensure timely appropriate care and patient flow through the hospital.
