Residential Conveyancer Full-Time | Part-Time Considered | Hybrid Working Available Location: Manchester City Centre A well-established and highly regarded legal practice is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join its specialist Property Team. This opportunity would suit a conveyancing professional looking to manage a varied and high-quality caseload within a supportive and collaborative environment. The firm provides residential property services exclusively to existing Court of Protection, Private Client and Trust clients. It does not undertake high-volume conveyancing work or act for mortgage lenders. As a result, every transaction is bespoke, offering a diverse and intellectually stimulating workload. The Role Reporting to the Head of Property, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of residential property matters from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion formalities. Key responsibilities include: Opening and setting up new files, including conducting AML and compliance checks Managing freehold and leasehold sales and purchases from instruction through to completion Preparing and submitting SDLT returns and Land Registry applications Commissioning surveys and specialist reports where required Reviewing survey findings and coordinating any necessary follow-up investigations Liaising with clients, deputies, trustees, surveyors, estate agents and other solicitors throughout transactions Attending client meetings, taking notes and progressing actions arising What we are looking for You will have a strong technical knowledge of residential property law and experience managing transactions independently from start to finish. Applicants should possess: A minimum of three years’ experience handling residential conveyancing matters as a fee earner Experience dealing with freehold and leasehold properties, including leasehold flats Experience of both registered and unregistered land transactions Knowledge of tenancy issues, repossession proceedings and general property-related disputes The ability to review and interpret building surveys and take appropriate action where required The Opportunity This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and varied property matters rather than volume conveyancing transactions.
