We are looking for a Planner to be based at our Guildford office, who has experience of undertaking
projects valued £1m+ as part of our Projects Division. You will be an enthusiastic individual who is able to understand a customer's key criteria and ascertain what areas of scope can be engineered to provide best programme opportunities.
Responsibilities
Orchestrate the entire project, from start to finish, by creating and managing schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects stay on track, within budget, and meet client expectations. They essentially act as the project's blueprint, developing plans, timelines, and strategies to achieve successful completion.

1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
o Creating Work Schedules:
Develop detailed project schedules using software like Microsoft Project, outlining all tasks, dependencies, and milestones.
o Resource Allocation:
Determine the resources needed for each task, including manpower, materials, equipment, and space, and allocate them effectively.
* Contingency Planning:
Identify potential risks and create contingency plans to mitigate delays or unexpected issues.
2. Monitoring and Reporting:
* Progress Tracking:
Track actual progress against the planned schedule, identify variances, and report on project performance to stakeholders.
* Delay Analysis:
Analyze the causes of delays and recommend corrective actions to get the project back on track.
* Cost Monitoring:
Monitor project costs, track expenses, and provide financial forecasts to ensure the project stays within budget.
3. Coordination and Communication:
* Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, site engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Prepare regular reports for clients and senior management, keeping them informed about project progress, risks, and potential challenges.
