Envision Racing is a UK-based Formula E team competing in the FIA Formula E World Championship. Senior Systems Engineer – Formula E TeamThis role will sit within the Systems Engineering group to support race events trackside, simulator sessions and test days, analysing and interpreting systems data to monitor reliability.Collaborate effectively with engineers, mechanics, suppliers, and series stakeholders to ensure robust systems operation.Configure and maintain car systems, including ECU, data loggers, sensors, driver displays, TPMS, and CAN networks; validate software/firmware updates.Perform system calibrations and diagnostics to ensure reliability and accuracy of data acquisition.Support loom design, electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.Develop and maintain in-house tools and processes to improve systems monitoring and efficiency.Produce clear reports and documentation for trackside activities, issues tracking, and continuous improvement. Key skillset requirements:Minimum 4 years’ experience in a systems or electronics role at a high level of motorsport (e.g. Formula E, F1, F2, F3, IndyCar, WEC).Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to data analysis and problem-solving.Knowledge of hybrid/electric powertrain systems, CAN bus architecture, and control electronics.Hands-on experience with modern data analysis tools, ideally ATLAS & System MonitorExperience preparing, validating, and troubleshooting electronic hardware/software in a live motorsport environment.Strong planning, communication, and reporting skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
